Switching from Requip to Stalevo

As Parkinson's disease patients move from early to middle stages of the illness, they often switch from medications like dopamine agonists and MAO inhibitors to pharmaceuticals that include a COMT inhibitor.

It can be a tricky transition for a number of reasons. We recently received an e-mail from a patient who reported that he was discontinuing Requip, a dopamine agonist, and starting Stalevo.
