Nash was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease in 2000, prompting him to write an encouraging and helpful book, Sensible Self-Help for Parkinson's Problems for people living with PD and other movement disorders.
Edgar Nash grew up in Hawaii. He served during the entire course of World War Two aboard fighting ships in the Pacific, Atlantic and Mediterranean.
Following an Honorable Discharge in early 1946 he was admitted to Yale University (JV Football, Inter-college Crew, St. Elmo Society) and graduated in the Class of 1948 with a B.S. in industrial administration.
Nash moved to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, where he founded and operated Nash-Pittsburgh Co., an industrial machinery and equipment sales organization.
In 1958 Nash moved to Central California and became a successful real estate broker, specializing in farm and ranch properties, and designed and built custom homes. He is now retired with is wife, Rae.
