Milwaukee Hosts Midwest Regional Conference
This Saturday, November 11th, The Parkinson's Action Network will present their first-ever Midwest regional conference, entitled, "Living with Parkinson's: How you can make a difference through awareness & advocacy."
Many Parkinson's conferences focus on living with Parkinson's, and some of the available treatments. However, this conference will be different, because it will focus on advocacy. Parkinson's disease advocates use their time and effort to talk with lawmakers, and encourage them to support legislation that funds and encourages Parkinson's disease research. Advocates also look for opportunities to educate people in their community about life with Parkinson's disease, and how the community as a whole can support the advancement of research to cure it. If you would like to attend Saturday's event, this link will take you to the event details.
