PD Award Winner in the Spirit of Rock and Roll

by StaffEvents

Each year at the Parkinson’s Unity Walk, they present the Alan Bonander Humanitarian Award. Walk organizers give the award to people that find ways to increase funding for Parkinson’s research. This year, the Unity Walk honored Bob Benjamin for his efforts starting Light of Day, a foundation that organizes concerts to raise fund for and raise awareness of PD. In March, New Jersey Monthly magazine also honored Benjamin with a “Best of New Jersey” award for “Unsung Philanthropist.” If you are a rock and roll fan, you may anjoy Benjamin’s website, LightOfDay.org. A number of big name musician play these concerts. The November 2005 event occurred over three days. Congratulations to Bob Benjamin, 2006 Alan Bonander Humanitarian Award. Thanks for doing it with so much flavor and style!
